Rubrication and catchwords; vocalized. Foliated in Arabic script. Leaves 24-25, 31-34 are replacements in nastaʻliq. Borders ink-stained; mild marginal damp staining and insect damage.Physical description, texts 2-4: 164 x 94 mm; 10 lines per page; written in nastaʻliq in black on tan, laid European paper. Script changes into taʻliq or shikastah on a few leaves. Catchwords; first leaf stained.Origin: Text 1 is likely early 19th century. Text 2 dated 1 September 1902, with the copyist's name in the form of a bird (leaf 42b).Incipit (text 1): الحمد لله حق الحمد ... اما بعد فهذا کتاب مختص جهة کثىر الفواىد احسن التوالىف فى هذا الفنIncipit (text 2): آورده اند که پىغمبر علىه السلام با حضرت على فرمودند که ىا على چهل و پنج افعال همچون استIncipit (text 3): اى پسر خداى خودرا بشناس و حق او نگهدارIncipit (text 4): وصيت کرده است اى پسر خداى عز و جل را بشناس هر چه گوى پند و نصىحت - Rebound in cloth. - Collection consisting of an Arabic-Persian vocabulary and several short collections of maxims.
