The upper and lower covers are similarly tooled and gold painted, with a central mandorla linked to the outer frame by an horizontal and a vertical fillet, and gold painted corner pieces. The envelope flap has a similar decoration. The doublure of the upper and lower covers has a tooled and painted decoration with a central mandorla and corner pieces in orange, green and gold.
