Notlar	Ms. codex.Title supplied by cataloger.Physical description: 11 lines per page; written in large muḥaqqaq in black on heavy, tan, glazed, laid Arabic paper. Stops and marginal notes in red. Numerous paper repairs, extensive smudging and staining, ragged edges, mild insect damage. Text block has been trimmed. In poor condition.Decoration: Illuminated spread on leaves 1b-2a, with āyahs 56:77-80 in gold at top and bottom; heavily damaged, with most of the color rubbed away. Āyahs terminate with gold and red discs. Gold and blue medallions in margins indicate every ten āyahs. Sūrah headings in gold; first two sūrah headings set within small illuminated ʻunwāns connected to gold medallions in the margins, also heavily damaged. - Full maroon leather with flap; gold-stamped central mandorla and pendants and blind-stamped fillets. Āyah 56:79 (lā yamassuhu illā al-muṭahharūn) gold-stamped onto the side piece joining the flap to the cover. - Volume 1 of a copy of the Qurʾān, containing Surahs 1-18.
