Inscriptions on fol. 1a.Collation: Paper ; fol. iii + 28 + iii ; catchwords ; foliation in ink using Hindu-Arabic numerals ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.Layout: 21 lines per page.Description: Rubricated ; watermarks (later flyleaves: eagle with roman-alphabet letters "TSC"; coat-of-arms with lion; coat-of-arms with stars -- text: three crescents) ; MS in fair condition.Origin: According to colophon copied Muḥarram 1163 by ʻUmar ibn Muḥammad Amīn al-Māridīnī (fol. 28a).Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم وبه نستعين الحمد لله الذي اخترع من العدم الموجودات واظهر من الموجودات الكائنات وابدع حكمته فى الطبائع الفاعلات والمنفعلات ... وبعد فهذا كتاب مختصر في علم الطب ...Colophon: تمت الرسالة [في] ثلث الليل أوائل المحرم سنة 1163 بتوفيق الباري والحمد لله على التمام وعلى نبيه الصلوة والسلام في کل بدء وختام وضوء وظلام ومحفل ومقام ويقظة ومنام وعلى آله وصحبه الکرام والائمة الاعلام وعلماء الاسلام على يد الحقير الفقير الى العلاّم عمربن محمد امين المارديني - Later half-bound type III (without flap) binding in yellow-green leather and yellow marbled paper. Green paper pastedowns and flyleaves. Endbands. - A work on medicine dealing with: (a) the science of medicine; (b) dietetics and medicines; (c) preventive medicine; (d) treatment of specific diseases; (e) treatment of common ills.
