European paper. Leaves missing between fol. 6 and 7, 14 and 15. Fol. 55 consists of two pasted leaves. - Brown leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers, fore-edge flap and envelope flap. Both covers have a central panel with a red stamped mandorla, outlined in gold, developing into a chain motif linking to the outer border on the vertical axis. Gold motifs in the inner corners. Outer border consists of a guilloche and several fillets. Portion of the same decoration on the envelope flap. Line of flower motifs on the fore-edge flap. Paper pastedowns. Leather with one flower motif on the fore-edge flap. Spine wanting. - Acephalous and defective copy of a collection of twenty-five texts of the Druze community, comprising texts 15-23 and 25-40 in Sylvestre de Sacy's description of Druze writings in Exposé de la religion des Druzes (1838). The Risālat al-Inṣināʼ (text 24) does not appear in this copy.
