Thick dark cream to biscuit paper, glossy, hardly translucid. Occasional marginal annotation. Verses of poetry by later hands on fol. 1a-2b and 92a-93a. Quinions; catchword on the verso of each leaf.Decoration: Illuminated title page on fol. 3a executed in gold, red, blue, and black, and consisting of a panel with a roundel on the left margin, outlined in blue with radiatings flecks. The panel consists of two parts: an upper cartouche occupying one third of the surface bears the title ; the lower part consists of a square with a central roundel bearing the statement of responsibility and corner pieces. Illuminated colophon on fol. 91b, executed in the same colors, and consisting of a panel outlined in blue with radiating flecks at each corner, with a central roundel with two small roundel on the vertical axis and corner pieces.Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "47".Origin: According to colophon, copied by Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad al-Bukhārī(?) al-Mālikī (fol. 90b). A note on the margin of fol. 91b indicates that the copy was completed in 88- H. R. Mach reads 880 H.Incipit: بسم ... الحمد لله الذي اختص حبيبه الاسنى بمقام مرقاب قوسين او ادنى ... قال الفقير المعترف بذنبه ... على سبط الشيخ ابن الفارض الراجى كرم ربه الفايض ... نظرت فى نسخ من ديوان شيخنا قدس الله سره وشرح صدره ... ورايت النساخ جهلوا بعض كلامهExplicit: عند القدوم وعاملني يا كرام تم الديوان ... [91أ] ومما نسب الى الشيخ ايضا وليس في الديوان المعروف وثبت في بعض النسخ القديمة ... قلب احب سواك لا نال المنى ... وهذه نوبة الاشباح قد حضرت فامدد يمينك كي يحظى بها شفتي - Elegant copy of Ibn al-Fāriḍ's Dīwān. At the end of the text are more verses attributed to Ibn al-Fāriḍ but not included in the Dīwān (fol. 91a).
