Notlar Ms. codex.Title supplied by the cataloger.Copied by the dervish Seyit Abdülkerim Rufai, a disciple of the Sheikh Seyit Ali Rufai, of the Kapan[?] Hanekâh in Sofia ("bi-khānaqāh-i Qapān Ṣūfīyawī"), and completed on the 27th of Jumādá al-Ūlá 1238 (1823) -- colophon (fol. 91a).19 lines per page. Written in a small naskh in black ink with use of red and gold for rubrication. Text is written inside a gold leaf frame outlined in three lines of black and one line of red ink. All headings and verses or important lines of text are enclosed in guilt head pieces, sometimes forming cloud bands. Fol. 1b-2a have wider text frames made with two gold leaf lines with a line in orange watercolor in between. Fol. 1b has a beautiful head piece executed in embossed gold leaf with light and dark orange, red, and blue watercolors. Fol. 1b-2a also have guilt medallions in the margins, made with embossed gold leaf surrounded by floral pattern in blue, orange and red watercolors, and radiating sprigs along the vertical axis in blue and red watercolors. Final lines of text on fol. 91a are enclosed in guilt head pieces, and the colophon is inside a triangular tail piece, with the empty area of the frame around it filled with a floral pattern drawn in gold ink. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Glazed European paper.Incipit: اى سلسلة الطريقة الجلوتية بالجيم اعاذها الله من نزغة الشيطان الرجيم سردها وربط بعض خلقها بالبعضExplicit: حرف كهردارله ديدم انك تاريخن سلسلهء جلوتى اولدى ذهب بى كلام - Red leather over pasteboard with envelope flap. Gold guilloche and fillets around the borders of covers and the envelope flap. Central mandorlas with pendants and a single fillet along the vertical axis on upper and lower covers, all blind stamped and painted in gold. Small rosetta stamps, also blind stamped and painted in gold, as corner pieces and along the inside of the border design on covers. Same design on the envelope flap, with a smaller mandorla. Pastedowns and lining to the envelope flap in very dark purple paper. Lining to the fore edge flap in red leather. - A treatise on the Celveti order of dervishes with biographies of its sheikhs. The main text ends on fol. 91a and is followed by a silsile of Celveti sheikhs on fol. 91b-92a, and a short doctrinal text on fol. 92b-93b.
