Both covers have a similar scalloped central blind-tooled pattern within a panel defined by several fillets with an elaborate outer border. Similar border on the envelope flap, with a circular motif on its point. Brown leather doublure. Similar to binding of Islamic manuscripts, Garrett no. 1783Y, which contains the first half of this work. - Biographical dictionary. The first part of this copy apparently by a later hand. The text has been collated with a copy in the possesion of ʻAlāʼ al-Dīn al-Qudsī, collated on the author's copy (see note on the margins of the colophon, fol. 225a).
