Cream paper with pulp and laid lines visible. Fibers visible on the surface. Occasional marginal annotations, some in Persian (see fol. 127b). Foliation in black ink using Arabic numerals. On fol. 1b: Family tree of the prophet Muḥammad. On fol. 129b: Ṣūrat al-ḥamd al-ṣaghīr.Inscription in Roman script on fol. 1b: "Y91".Collation: Paper, fol. 130, i ; 1¹⁰ (fol. 1 consists of two leaves pasted on one another) 2-13¹⁰ + i (later added endpaper) ; the quires are numbered using Arabic ordinals in the form "thānī" (see fol. 11a) ; catchword on the verso of each leaf, apparently by a later hand.Copy completed on 6 Rajab 709 by ʻAlī ibn Aydughmush(?) al-Khalīlī al-Bikāwī [Dec. 10, 1309] (colophon, fol. 127b).Incipit: الحمد لله حمدًا يوافي نعمه ويكافيء مزيده سبحانه لا نحصي ثنا عليه هو كما اثنى على نفسه فله الحمد حتى يرضا قال ابو بكر محمد بن العزيز السجستانى هذا تفسير غريب القران المولف على حروف المعجم ليقرب تناوله ويسهل تحفظه على من اراد ذلك وبالله التوفيق وهو حسبي ونعم الوكيل باب الهمزة المفتوحة الم ساير حروف الهجا فى اوايل السورExplicit: الياء المكسورة قيل ليس فى كلام العرب كلمة اولها يا مكسورة الّا يِسار ويَسار لليد تم الكتاب بحمد الله وفضله ومنه - Brown leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers, with deep sunk central stamped mandorla and outer border consisting of fillets. Paper doublure. - Treatise explaining difficult words used in the Qurʼān, arranged in alphabetical order.
