Same title on the inner side of flap and top edge.European yellow verge paper, unglazed, no flyleafs. Watermark, shield [?] with capital "AD" below and countermark, capital "MA[I]NERO".Collation: 166 fol. total. 35 lines per page - 1st half of the manuscript, 25 lines in the second ; pages 330 and 332 are empty. Misṭara.Two, almost equally sized parts, are written by two different scribes, the first in a poor but legible small and bold maghribī, and the second in fine and clear maghribī with various text embellishments, which are absent in the first part. The text in black and light brown (pale black) inks. Chapter headings, separators, occasional sentences and words in red ink. Kashideh and chapter headings overlines in red and light brown ink. Rare marginalia and corrections are in black ink. Vocalization mainly in black, occasionally in red inks. Catchwords in black ink, maghribī.Binding is well kept; quires are sewn. Binding and margings are damaged by worms, the text is not affected. Stains.Incipit: ومنهم صاحبنا ذو القدر المنيف والخلق الضريف والجاه الخطير والحسب الاثير... - Binding is of oriental type with a flap, cardboard covered with a leather of dark brown and black colors. Large single medallion in the center, frame alongside the perimeter of the cover, floral stamping in the inner corners. Same frame and smaller medallion of different pattern on the flap. Spine is of the same material reinorced at the top and bottom edges with a wide red leather stripes. - Second part of al-ʻAyyāshīʼs trip to al-Ḥijāz, scribed and notated in maghribi by two obscure scribes.
