Notlar Ms. codex.Title from fol. 1a (repeated as ʻunwān on fol. 7b).Copied by Mustafa ibn Mehmet ibn Ahmet and completed the 14th of Ṣafar 1173 (1759) -- colophon (fol. 261a).27 lines per page. Written in a medium small, fairly casual naskh with elements of nastaʻlīq in black ink with use of red for rubrication. Text is written inside a single line frame in red ink. Margins also outlined in a single line of red ink. On fol. 7b-8a the frames and the margins are in gold ink outlined in black ink, and fol. 7b has a simple illuminated head piece (ʻunwān) in gold and red with the title inside it in black ink. Marginal annotations in Arabic. Fol. 2b-5a have a table of contents in black and red ink. Ownership statement in silver glitter ink on fol. 1a. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Glazed European paper.Incipit: الحمد لله الذي احكم احكام الشرع علي احسن الترتيب والنظام ... وبعد فيقول الفقير الي الله الغني محمد - Brown leather with envelope flap. Blind fillets around the edges of covers and the envelope flap. Blind stamped mandorlas (with different leather pasted over and evidence of gilding) with pendants in the centre of covers. A small medallion on the envelope flap, blind stamped, and then covered in red leather and gilt. Pastedowns and lining to the envelope flap in light purple paper. Lining to the fore edge flap in brown leather. - A collection of fetvas.
