Contains tables. European paper with watermark, glossy. Inscriptions and short text on fol. 1a-b. Foliation in pencil using Western numerals (omits first folio).Two spine labels (vertical), reading respectively: "al-Mughnī fī al-ṭibb li-Saʻīd ibn Hibat Allāh" (in Arabic script), and "41" (in Arabic and Western numerals).Origin: Copy completed on a Wednesday, end of Rabīʻ al-Thānī 1157 [June 1744], by Ḥusayn ibn Muḥammad al-Maghribī (colophon, fol. 109b).Incipit: قال الشيخ الجليل ابو الحسن سعيد بن هبة الله الحسن الطبيب ان اولى ما نطق به اللسان وثبت برهانه في الجنان الحمد لمدبر الازمان الذي اوجد المخلوقات بقدرته وفضل الانسان ... وبعد فالرغبة الى الله في ادامة ايام من خصه من خلقه بتدبير الامم ومحبة العلومExplicit: وعالج المريض بعلاج المبرسمين وبهذا العلاج بعالج من سقي البنج(؟) وشرب مليخ التين والله الموفق المتعان وعليه التكلان ولا حول ولا قوة الا بالله الملك المنان تم الكتاب - Brown leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers. The covers are similarly blind-tooled and stamped with a central stamped mandorla and an outer frame consisting of fillets and a running pattern of impressions of a s-shape stamp. Paper pastedown.
