The text is framed throughout within a black ang gold border, with an outer frame made of a single red line. Naïve lluminated headpiece (ʻunwān) in gold, orange, red, blue and green on fol. 2b. Chapters heading for each of the sciences discussed are written in a larger script in ornamented panels with a colored floral motif. The topics are written on the margins in black ink. Annotations on the margins and on smaller pieces of paper placed between the leaves. Inscriptions and short excerpts from various texts on fol. 1a-2a, 100b. Table of contents on fol. 1b. Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "Majāmiʻ 127". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "Ḥāʼ 186/2".Collation: Paper, fol. i, 100, i ; i (free endpaper) + 1-10¹⁰ + i (free endpaper) ; catchword on the verso of each leaf.Incipit: الحمد لله على نعمه السابغة الشاملة واشهد ان لا اله الا الله وحده لا شريك له ... وبعد فلّما ظهر لى تصويب الملحين عليّ فى وضع شرح على الكراسةExplicit: وتفاوت المراتب فى الدنيا والآخرة لا رادّ لقضائه بالدفع ولا معقّب لحكمه بالنقض سبحانه وتعالى هذا آخره ولله الحمد والمنّة - Brown leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers, and envelope flap. Spine and fore-edge flap repaired. Both covers have a blind tooled and gold? and dark red painted central mandorla with two pendants on the vertical axis and an outer frame made of several gold? painted fillets. The envelope flap has a similar outer frame with a smaller mandorla on its point. Purple paper pastedowns and free endleaves. - Elegant copy of a commentary by Suyūṭī on his short treatise introducing to fourteen sciences, entitled al-Nuqāyah.
