Fol. 1a has various inscriptions including waqf and ownership statements, a note that the MS was corrected by Muḥammad Ḥilmī dated 1186, a seal impression, and a repetition of the line "iʻrāb is like a spiderweb".Collation: Paper ; fol. 160 + (2) ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.Layout: 19 lines per page.Description: Overlining in red ; watermarks (roman-alphabet letters "[?]SSET"; coat of arms or a crown) ; MS in fair condition.Origin: According to colophon copied Saturday 28 Dhū al-Ḥijjah 1171 by ʻUthmān ibn ʻAlī ibn Muṣṭafá ibn ʻAlī al-Bābā Ṭāghī (fol. 160a).Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم. الحمد لله الذي رفع داء الجهل عنا بانزال قرآن عربي بيسن الهدى عليناColophon: قد وقع الفراغ بحمد الله الملك المعين على يد [اﻟ]ﻌﺒﺪ الضعيف المحتاج الى رحمة ربه اللطيف عثمان بن علي بن الحاج مصطفى بن الحاج علي البابا طاغي غفر الله [له] ولا بائه ولا مهاته ولجميع للمومنين والمؤمنات في [اﻟ]ﯧﻮم الثامن والعشرين من ذي الحجة الشريفة بعد العصر من يوم السبت في سنة احدى وسبعين ومائة والف م - Contemporaneous? type II (with flap) binding in red leather and paper.
