Notlar The file relates to the appointment and service of holders of the post of Head Clerk (known from 15 April 1944 as Superintendent) of the Political Agency, Bahrain.The papers, which consist of correspondence, memoranda, telegrams, last pay certificates, other certificates, bank drafts, and office orders, cover the following topics: correspondence concerning last pay certificates, service books and leave accounts; leave; leave salary; pay and allowances, including special pay and advances; insurance; papers concerning appointment, posting and transfer; correspondence concerning a claim for pay and seniority, August to October 1937; letter certfiying bearer was a Government servant; travel arrangements, expenses, and allowances; transport of personal effects; request for payment of unpaid rent, December 1941; provision of accomodation, April to May 1944; notification of change of post's title from 'Head Clerk' to 'Superintendent', April 1944; recovery of debt for energy supply, June 1944; and papers concerning medical certificates.The Arabic language content of this file consists of a letter with English translation dated December 1941 from the owner of a house that had been occupied by Agency clerks.
