Notlar In this letter to Commodore George Robinson, Commander of the Persian Gulf Squadron, Arnold Burrowes Kemball, Resident in the Persian Gulf, acknowledges the receipt of Robinson's letter of 14 July, which announced that thirty-four of the thirty-six slaves seized at Lingah [Bandar-e Lengeh] (the other two having died) had been embarked by Lieutenant Charles Golding Constable on board the Euphrates, for conveyance to the Presidency. Kemball recommends to Robinson's care two additional slaves, who are being held at Kemball's disposal by the Chief of Lingah. Kemball encloses a letter (not included), which should be given to the Chief of Lingah by whomever Robinson sends to collect the slaves in question, so that they may also be delivered to the Naval Depot and eventually taken to Bombay. | 1 folio | more | less
