Notlar	The letter directs the Linguist and the Broker to receive charge of the Residency at Bushere [Bushire] until MacLeod's return from the Arabian coast in the beginning of February 1823. MacLeod instructs them on procedures for dealing with East India Company and merchant ships arriving at Bushire in his absence. In addition, he gives them instructions on dealing with letters and dispatches.
