Notlar	This file contains correspondence regarding the mistreatment of Bahraini nationals resident in Persia at the hands of the Persian Government.The file contains a number of petitions (in Arabic with English translations) sent to the Government of Bahrain and Shaikh Ḥamad bin ‘Īsá Āl Khalīfah by these groups of Bahrainis requesting assistance (ff 54, 81, 82, 118 and 126).The correspondence between British officials also discusses possible punitive measures against Persians (ff 144-149) resident in Bahrain and broader issues regarding Bahraini nationality (ff 174-177). \| 1 file (220 folios) \| The papers are arranged in approximate chronological order from the front to the rear of the file. \| Foliation: the main foliation sequence (used for referencing) commences at the front cover and terminates at the back cover; these numbers are written in pencil, are circled, and are located in the top right corner of the recto side of each folio.
