Notlar The letter acknowledges the creation of a split between the Public and Politcial and Secret Departments at the Bombay council. It also records the appointment of James Beek as Secretary of the Public Department and James Hatley as Secretary of the Political and Secret Department. The letter reports the death of Ally Morad Khan [Ali Murad Khan] and states that his death has brought great confusion to Persia and made internal travel difficult. The letter states that it is the general opinion that Jaffer Khan [Sadiq Khan's eldest son] will succeed Ally Morad Khan. It is also noted that the Persian attack on Zebarra [Zubarah] did not occur due to Ally Morad Khan's death and mentions a report of the arrival of a French count (said to be an Ambassador of the French court) in Isfahan [Eşfahān]. | 1 folio | more | less
