Notlar The letter was sent with three 'country letters' that had been seized by forces of the Sheikh of Congoon [Kangān]. It is stated that the Sheikh had apologised that the letters had been opened, returned them and expressed his great friendship for the English, but that he had not returned the seized vessels (that belonged to Bussora [Basra] but were loaned by the Company). The Sheikh is said to have demanded the return of one of his own ships held by Sheikh Habbeeb of Bussora in return for their release. | 1 folio | more | less
