Notlar Letter regarding Cholera which has been in the vicinity of Bushire and is now spreading towards Busreh [Basra]; Pelly's horses and Edwards inability to sell any owing to the state of the Bombay market; a statement drawn up by Edwards of the modifications which could be made to the establishment at Bushire without incurring any extra expense for Government;A postscript to the letter informs Pelly that the audit office will not allow Edwards any extra allowance for his having taken charge of the Residency unless he is officially gazetted as 'Officiating Resident' and regarding rumours that Pelly is to be posted to Aden instead of returning to Bushire.Enclosures:Observations for Colonel Pelly's information on the state of affairs in the Persian Gulf.
