The letter also mentions an increase in salaries for the Native Agents at Bushire and Muscat to two hundred rupees per mensem.A letter (1582 of 1822, dated 12 November 1822) from the Secretary of the Government of Bombay to Lieutenant-Colonel B Kennett informing him that his political functions will cease on the arrival of Lieutenant MacLeod at Bassidore and all appointments dependent on the occupation of the island of Kishm will be terminated from the date of the evacuation from the island.
