Most of the correspondence is from oil companies, particularly the Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO). The documents submitted for registration are principally certificates for shipments of oil, cylinders, and equipment, but also include title deeds, powers of attorney, passport applications, certificates of residency, and certificates of employment.The last correspondence item is dated 26 September 1942. The end date in the date range is supplied by an entry in the notes on folio 365. \| 1 file (364 folios) \| The papers are mainly arranged in chronological order from the front to the rear of the file, except where enclosures of an earlier date are filed after their relevant covering letter, and terminate in a set of notes (folios 356-365). However, folios 345-355, dated October - November 1941, are out of chronological order, as they follow papers dated 1942. \| Foliation: the main foliation sequence (used for referencing) commences at the front cover with 1, and terminates at the inside back cover with 366; these numbers are written in pencil, are circled, and are located in the top right corner of the recto side of each folio.
