Notlar	The letter and its enclosure relate to the settlement arrived at between the Persian Government and the Imam of Muscat, under which Bunder Abbas [Bandar-e ʻAbbās] came under the Imam’s authority. The enclosure is the translation of a letter (folio 160) from the British Agent at Muscat, to Jones, dated 28 May 1856, confirming the renewal of a former contact permitting the collection of customs duties at Bandar-e ʻAbbās by the Muscat authorities for a further five years. \| 2 folios \| more \| less
