Notlar Letter regarding the sale of Arsenic in the Bazaae, and regarding the withdrawal of licences for the sale of poison from four of the five vendors, leaving only Shamsoodin with permission to sell it.The letter goes on to discuss the seizure of poisons from those vendors no longer permitted to sell them, and that they had no arsenic and had not been procuring it for sale. The letter also describes the red arsenic, containing sulphur, sold by Shamsoodeen and that the arsenic used in the attempted poisoning did not contain sulphur, suggesting that he was not the individual who had supplied it unless he had supplies of white arsenic which he had not declared. | 1 folio | more | less
