Notlar In this letter James Dow, Assistant Surgeon, temporarily in charge of the Residency, reports that a tundall and twelve lascars, who formed part of the establishment brought from Bombay by Andrew Jukes, Political Agent in Persia, and who were left at Bushire following Jukes's departure for Tehran, have been given a passage to the Presidency, on board the Honourable Company cruiser, the Ternate. Dow states that the lascars received from Jukes their pay and batta up to the end of September and that Dow has since advanced them a further 94 2/4 rupees, which is detailed in an attached statement (not included). | 2 folios | more | less
