Notlar The letter is acknowledging the receipt of the Resident's dispatch (No 44), which further reported on the state of the Persian Gulf. It further states that the Governor of Bombay approves of the tenor of his letter to Sultan bin Sugger [Sulṭān bin Saqr] respecting his possible connection to the Wahabi [Wahhabi], and the treatment of the British Agent at Sharga [Sharjah].It is also noted that Captain Moorsum's pass to 'the pirates' only grants them safe passage to Rusool Khyma [Ra's al-Khaymah], and does not provide them with immunity from punishment. | 2 folios | more | less
