Notlar	The letter is enclosing a communication, sent by Francis Warden to Major General Sir William Grant Keir dated 31 October 1819, for the Resident's information and guidance.The enclosed letter is providing suggestions on where the General should send any prisoners taken during the British expedition to the Persian Gulf. It recommends that he should first attempt come to an agreement with Sa‘īd bin Sultān Āl Sa‘īd, Imam of Muscat. Failing that, he should enquire into the ability of the Resident at Bushire to detain any prisoners. Should both these options fail, any prisoners should be sent to Bombay. \| 1 folio \| more \| less
