Notlar This letter relates to Commodore George Robinson's most recent visit to the Arabian coast. Robinson responds to a request made by Arnold Burrowes Kemball, Resident in the Persian Gulf, in a letter dated 3 September (no. 295). In that letter, Kemball transmitted a translation of a letter that he had received from Sheikh Sultan Ben Suggar [Sulṭān bin Saqr Āl Qāsimī] and requested that Robinson provide information regarding any disinclination shown by the Sheikh to proceed on board the vessel under Robinson's command. In response, Robinson states that the Sheikh begged to be excused from boarding the Cliveduring the heat of the day, but did come on board early the next morning. | 1 folio | more | less
