Notlar	This letter concerns what Ephraim Gerrish Stannus refers to as an outrage, which was reported to have been committed on a Debay [Dubai] boat at Hawellah (see ff 51-52). Stannus informs William Newnham that further enquiries have led him to conclude that reports of the incident were groundless.
