Notlar	The letter and its enclosure relates to the harassment and insults directed at the British Agent Hajjī Yaqoob in Sharjah in 1853. The letter is a covering letter, enclosing an extract of paragraph 46 of letter no.13 (folio 277) from the Honourable Court of Directors, dated 27 April 1854, in which it is stated that the reparations obtained from both Sooltan bin Suggur [Sultan bin Saqr], the chief of Sharjah, and the Wahabee [Wahhābī] chief [Fayṣal ibn Turki Āl Sa‘ūd] for the insults directed at the British Agent in Sharjah, are satisfactory, and indicate a desire on the behalf of both men to remain on good terms with the Government. \| 2 folios \| more \| less
