Authorial colophon indicates that composition was completed 10 Muḥarram 804 [ca. 20 August 1401] in the author's house in Bursa (Brūṣah) where Bāyazīd I had his court. | Accompanying materials: a. Inventory cataloguing slip in hand of Winifred Smeaton Thomas -- b. Acquisitions slip from Yahuda. | Former shelfmark: From inner front cover, front flyleaf (p.1) and spine label, "IL 392" (likely supplied by Yahuda, see acquisitions slip). | Binding: Pasteboards covered in shell marbled paper (mainly in dark blue and dark brown, which Jake Benson has identified as being of 19th century Spanish manufacture) with green-blue cloth over spine ; Type III binding (without flap) ; board linings in green textile ; sewn in dark pink thread, two stations, many threads broken ; worked endbands in light yellow and beige or dark pink, damaged with significant losses ; overall in somewhat poor condition with much abrasion, staining, some delamination of boards, lifting and losses of paper and cloth, detaching at spine, etc. | Support: European laid paper with 12 laid lines per cm.
