The illuminated frames hold Hadith quotations in thuluth script in white ink on gold background. Seven diagrams of the readings of the Qurʾān in gold, red, and blue. Numerous other polychrome marginal medallions to mark text partitions. Sūrah headings in gold and blue. Floral roundels in gold, blue, red mark verse endings, sometimes simplified to gold enclosed in a blue circle. Readings in red.
