Notlar Part of a court record from the Fusṭāṭ Bet Din, dated [sic] 4994 (= 1234 CE), concerning Mubāraka, who, having been denied a share of her deceased father’s estate by Jewish law, had taken her claim against her brother, Ezra b. Samuel b. Ezra ‘representative of the merchants’, to the Islamic court and had her brother taken into custody. The Bet Din is considering a request to excommunicate Mubāraka. Witnessed by Peraḥ b. Muwammal, Qiyyām b. Mevoraḵ, Joseph b. Israel al-Dustari, Joseph b. ʿAzariah, Solomon b. Ḥalfōn ha-Ṣōvi and Tamām b. Abraham the banker.
