Notlar	Brief letter reporting that Berenice burnt at sea 31 October [1866] and requesting the enclosed telegram be sent to Bombay with a copy for Bushire.Enclosure:Telegram to the Secretary to Government, 5 November 1866, reporting that Berenice burnt at sea about twenty-five miles east of Shaik Shaab island and that although all hands and the treasure chest were saved everything else was lost. The telegram reports that 134 of the individuals accompanied Pelly to Bassidore and the remaining fifty-two stayed with the boats and that he was making arrangements for their recovery. \| 1 folio \| more \| less
