Notlar Papyrus 5 (Meshullam b. Zakkur) frees handmaiden and daughter. Recto, 17 lines of text. The document was written by Haggai. Verso, one line of text. A few small gaps at top of papyrus. Seal impression (originally apparently oval) in clay. No legible text remains. Upon Arrival: Folded and sealed papyrus of same type as 47.218.88. Tied with many folds of lined thread and sealed with mud in roughly oval shape. Surface of mud seal worn - no impression visible. Under side of roll inscribed in black with single line of Aramaic. Condition: Good. Small area missing from end of upper edge. Slight breaks on folds. | more | less
