Notlar	The letter concerns a recent breach of the maritime peace by a Sharjah boat, originally reported by Stannus on 23 August 1825 (IOR/R/15/1/35, ff 64-67). Stannus writes that his actions in the matter, in despatching a cruizer to the area, have had the desired effect. The letter makes reference to a number of enclosed items, including a report from Captain Walker of the Honourable Company's Cruizer Elphinestone, and letters received from Shaikh Sultan ben Suggar [Sultan bin Saqr] of Sharjah.
