Notlar	Letter making reference to correspondence from the former Resident in the Persian Gulf, Lt-Col Samuel Hennell, dated 28 June 1851 (see '1851/52 Residency in the Persian Gulf English Correspondence No.7 Slave Trade', IOR/R/15/1/127 f 21). Goldsmid encloses an extract from a despatch (f 278) from the Honourable the Court of Directors, dated 21 January 1852, which expresses regret that the Company's schooner Constancearrived on the Batinah coast too late in the season to intercept any vessels travelling back from Africa, which may have been transporting slaves. \| 2 folios \| more \| less
