Notlar Letter states that monthly accounts for April to July 1776 and annual general books are enclosed (these are not contained in the file). Discusses woolens sales and trade conditions at length as well as several other administrative matters. The letter gives thanks to the council for the gift of four thousand rupees to Beaumont and Green in light of their suffering whilst in captivity in Persia. It is stated that Shaikh Abdallah of Ormuse [Hormuz] has been ordered by the Vakeel [Karim Khan] to attempt to cut off Muscat's trade with the rest of the Gulf. The arrival of the Terrible Bomb Ketchand Bombay Grabare also reported.Below the main letter there is a list entitled 'Manifest of Treasure, Pearl and Freights laden at Bushire on the Bombay GrabCaptain Robert Freeman Gage for Bombay'. | 3 folios | The item is damaged and there are 2 holes in its text on the bottom half.
