Notlar In this letter to Captain Arnold Burrowes Kemball, Resident in the Persian Gulf, Commodore George Robinson, Commander of the Persian Gulf Squadron, forwards a copy of a letter, dated 24 October (no. 23), which the latter has received from Lieutenant David Rose Dakers, Commander of the HC brigantine, the Tigris. The letter conveys intelligence regarding the general state of affairs at the lower end of the Gulf. In the letter, Dakers confirms that he has delivered Kemball's letters to Sheik Sultan ben Suggur [Sulṭān bin Saqr Āl Qāsimī] and Said ben Buttye [Sheikh Saeed bin Buti Al Maktoum] and states that he has taken their replies to the Agent at Lingah [Bandar-e Lengeh]. He encloses a contingent bill (not included) for expenses incurred on account of the liberated slaves at Bassadore [Bāsa‘īdū, Qeshm Island]. | 2 folios | more | less
