Notlar This letter encloses two letters and informs Henry Lacon Anderson, that Captain Jones suspects that Shaikh Sultan bin Saggar, chief of Ras al-Khaimah, is intriguing with his Sayyid Turki against his brother, Sayyid Sulaiman for the Imamship of Oman. The first enclosed letter (dated 20 April 1857), from the chief of Ras al-Khaimah, Sheikh Sultan bin Saggar, explains why he wants to launch an attack by sea on the Sheeqaryeen [Shariqiyin].
