Notlar Samuel Hennell refers to his letter of 15 July 1850, which related to Sheik Nasir, Governor of Bushire, and his departure for Shiraz. Hennell reports that the Sheik has arrived at Shiraz, where, according to his letters, he has received a courteous and favourable reception from the Prince Governor. Hennell also informs Sheil that Bakir Khan of Tungistoon [Tangestān] and Mahomed Houssein Khan of Borazgoon have both proceeded to Shiraz, following a summons from the Prince. This letter includes the following enclosure: a translated substance of a news letter, not dated, from the Agent at Shiraz [Mirza Mahmood], covering events between 1 and 19 July 1850. | 3 folios | more | less
