The Governor responds to Sa‘ūd’s letter of 25 January 1831 and congratulates him on becoming chief of the Wahabee [Wahhābī] sect, expressing hopes that the amity existing between the British and his ancestor Imaum Saood will continue.2) Letter dated 14 March 1831 (Arabic with English translation, folios 6-7) from the Honourable the Governor to Raschied bin Hamed [Rashid bin Humayd al-Nuaimi] of Ajman. The Governor responds to Bin Hamed’s letter of 5 Shaban, informing him of a journey into Nejd [Najd] on a visit to Turki bin Sa‘ūd.
