Notlar Letter regarding Pelly not having heard from Sir Bartle since October and his fears that recent incidents in the Gulf, including the loss of Bereniceare the cause of this.The letter also refers to a rumour he heard from Hubert Walton that Sir Bartle had taken a fall from his horse but that he had not read any reference to this in the public news and a request from Government for a report on Pelly's journey to Lingah [Bandar-e-Lengeh] which Pelly submitted in May 1865.The letter appears to be a draft as a number of sentances and paragraphs have been crossed through. | 2 folios | more | less
