Glosses on Talkhis al-Miftah." | Binding: Pasteboards coverd in brown leather (pebble grained appearance of shagreen) over marbled paper ; Type II binding (with flap) ; doublures and interior of foreedge and envelope flaps in red leather ; upper and lower cover bear a simple rule-border consisting of a series of gold-painted fillets, better preserved on the flap ; in fair condition with abrasion, some tears, repairs to spine, and loose sewing. | Support: non-European (?) laid paper with laid lines barely visible, running horizontally and spaced roughly 9 laid lines per cm., chain lines barely visible, running vertically and irregularly spaced though occasionally 25 mm. apart, many inclusions and undissolved fibers, rather thin, and burnished ; flyleaves are in a different European laid paper with partial watermarks "Tosco..."
