Notlar The letter is a report of Wahabee [Wahhabi] forces marching from Nejd to Oman. Kemball reports on the intended departure of the expedition of 26 January 1853, its leadership, and his opinion that the expedition poses no threat to Bahrain. Kemball also considers the implications of the expedition on the Imam of Muscat, and on Brymee [al Buraimi], and its relations with the chiefs on the Arab coast.The letter has three enclosures:1. A translated extract from a letter (folio 74A) from Hajee Jassem, British Agent at Bahrain, to Kemball, dated 8 January 1853. Jassem reports on the imminent departure of the Wahhabi expedition from Lahsah [Hasa] and its proposed route via Guttur [Qatar];2. A translated extract from a letter (folio 74B) from Hajee Jassem, British Agent at Bahrain, to Kemball, dated 20 January 1853;3. A copy of letter no.39 of 1853 (folio 75) from Kemball to Commodore George Robinson, Commanding Officer Persian Gulf Squadron, dated 31 January 1853.
