Notlar Samuel Hennell encloses a letter (not included) to Sheik Yoosoof ben Moobaruk of Nabend, which calls upon him to restore certain property belonging to Sheik Hassan ben Jubbarah. The property, valued at 80 tomans, was plundered from a Congoon [Kangān] boat while it was en route to Shewoo. Hennell requests that John Patterson Porter instruct Lieutenant Frederick Erskine Manners, Commander of the HC brigantine Tigris,to confine himself solely to conveying the letter and receiving the Sheik's reply. However, Hennell asks that Manners note which ships are at anchor off Nabend, and whether any of the boats could be destroyed from the sea if necessary. Details of the plundered articles are provided in the margin. | 1 folio | more | less
