Notlar The volume contains correspondence, notes, and memoranda concerning the affairs of Katif [Al-Qaṭīf]. The correspondence is mostly between the Government of India, Foreign Office and India Office. Further correspondence, often included as enclosures and in the form of printed collections relating to a particular matter, is between the Government of India, Foreign Office, and various British political, diplomatic, and military offices in the Persian Gulf and Turkish Arabia.The two parts of the volume each relate to different subjects, as follows:1. The treatment of British Indian traders at the port;2. An outbreak of violence in 1908 between Bedouin tribes and the townspeople of Katif.The volume comprises parts 1 and 2 of 2. Each part includes a divider which gives the subject and part numbers, year the subject file was opened, subject heading, and list of correspondence references contained in that part by year. This is placed at the back of the correspondence. | 1 volume (173 folios) | The papers are arranged in approximate chronological order from the rear to the front of the volume.The subject 395 (Katif Affairs) consists of one volume. The volume is divided into two parts. | Foliation: the foliation sequence commences at the inside front cover with 1 and terminates at the inside back cover with 175; these numbers are written in pencil, are circled, and are located in the top right corner of the recto side of each folio.
