Tarih 1802/1802
Notlar Mirza Mehedy Ally Khaun [Mirza Mahdi 'Ali Khan Bahadur], Native Resident at Bushire, acknowledges the receipt of Samuel Manesty's letters of 27 September and 6 October 1802. He agrees to send Manesty the sum of 30,000 pisasters as soon as the state of the Bushire treasury allows it, and promises to send the account of the last sale of woollens by the next vessel. The Native Resident relays a report (which he claims is without foundation) that the King [of Persia, Fat'h Ali Shah Qajar] plans to invade the Northern Bengall [Bengal] Provinces as a retaliation for the death of his Embassador [Ambassador]. He confirms that the Embassador's relations have been informed and agrees to detain the Ternateat Bushire until answers come from the Court [of Persia]. | 1 folio | more | less
