Notlar Samuel Hennell informs Justin Sheil that the mohussil mentioned in Hennell's letter of 15 December 1849 (no. 389), Mahomed Koolee Beg Sultan, has returned to Bushire bearing a copy of a communication from His Excellency the Prime Minister [Mīrzā Taqī Khān, known as Amir Kabir], and a rukum from His Royal Highness Bahram Meerza, both of which enjoin Sheik Nasir, Governor of Bushire, to lose no time in levying the fine of 300 tomans upon the Commander of the Dashtee vessel, the Futh ul Kheyr, for having brought slaves to Bushire. Hennell doubts that Mahomed Koolee Beg Sultan's mission will be successful, on the grounds that the Governor will not be able to carry out this order unless the vessel returns to Bushire. | 1 folio | more | less
